Porosity Lens - Virtual Navigation on Reality World
Place occured : Subway construction site

Showing a daily life of workers on a construction site, how they navigate around and the time they take for each action. Human emotions do effect their behavior not only that our mind too effects our actions and the time we spent on doing an action. The song chosen, " I will be here" by Tiesto & Sneaky Sound System fits the atmosphere in this video. Human can multi task, doing an action while thinking at the same time. This video also shows the view in a virtual lens capturing human navigation in reality world.

Assignment 2 - week 02 (S.W.A.T Analysis)

Strengths - Porosity lens is a term to understand human movement through an environment or situation. The chosen flowgraphs focuses on human nature, behavior and action. Although it may be common and simple but the strengths of these flowgraphs can be improved on how human interacts, observe and  react to the enviroment.

Weaknesses - The weaknesses of these flowgraphs which has been stated as common and very simple but it can presented in so many different ways to enhance the final video submission which will challenge me more.

Opportunities - To witness how human get to a certain destination, how human reacts to nature and communicating with one another in a certain situation.

Threats - There's no threats but the challenge to combine all in to one video clip making it fluid.

This video demonstrates the movement and action of AI.

Chosen Flowgraphs

1. The Tornado- I chosed tornado effect for the environment part, just to add some interesting weather to the calm surroundings.

2. Moving AI - Its a must have flowgraph in every video, every movement leads to another action.

3. AI piss - Something i find it funny, AI piss?? It shows that every action, movement and expression is possible to be created in Crysis.



Note: I will be changing the tornado to smoking  flowgraph.

Place the rollupbar - AI - tagpoint on the map of the place you want to teleport to and change the AI tagpoints name to beampoint. Place a rollupbar  - Entitys - triggers - proximity trigger on the map, this is where you will walk to be teleported. Scroll to settings bar on the proximity trigger and find create flowgraph as above.




Research Assignment :

Given this task, i have researched and look through alot of tutorials in youtube, crysis site and i'm sure everyone knows you can Google every single tutorial with just word search. At the begining, I only knew Crysis as game and never knew about the sandbox editor and flowgraphs and the ability to animate how you desire. Since i have been exposed to crysis editor, theres so much things you can do with it. The ability to change AI face expression using the face editor, able to make AI talk or create dialogs, moving path to path, changing AI behavior, creating maps and levels and changing the environment. 

As a beginner, sometimes there is some basic things that we might miss out. For example the ability to change the tree leaves into autumn like color, means we don't have to always create an environment where everything is either sandy or just green grass and tress leaves. And talk about explosion in the first assignment, we can even time the explosion instead of exploding right after you start the game mode. 

I find there is alot of videos on AI because it has the ability to do more but sometimes people might forget that the environment/background plays a role too. So i am going to make a simple video on changing the color of the tree leaves and how to time an explosion. Previous assignment 1, i was having trouble with filming the explosions as it might be too fast or too slow. I hope this will help beginners like me and hope this basic skills will help in evolving into much advance skills out there.
